News items can also be set with a default or specific expiry date, or archived as appropriate (we always recommend keeping news items in an archive as content such as this helps indexing and results on Google).
The standard RSS feed icon has become very popular on websites and the icon immediately tells visitors that they can subscribe and receive all of the school’s latest news, newsletters, sports results etc. Headlines will automatically be sent to your subscriber’s RSS outlook folder (similar to receiving an email) when you update your website.
